CONSULTATIONS
You do the planning. I help you read the place before you arrive.
A working conversation for the traveler who’d rather build the trip themselves — and wants nearly a decade of field reading on their side of the table while they do it.
There are two ways to get the intelligence. One is to have it written for you — that’s the Trip Reading: researched, drafted, waiting in your inbox before you go. This is the other one. It’s for the traveler who wants to do the legwork themselves and would rather talk it through than be handed a document.
You bring the trip you’re building — the region roughed out, three towns on a shortlist, a rental car half-booked, the week in October you’re not sure about. I bring what the landscape is doing in that season, which of the three towns is worth two nights and which is worth a lunch, which road descends toward something and which climbs toward a viewpoint and a full car park. You leave knowing how to read the place. You still get to plan the trip.
The Mini
$80 · 30 minutes
One question, thirty minutes. You’ve got the trip mostly shaped and one thing you can’t settle — base in the hill town or the city, whether October is too late for the harvest, whether the two-hour detour actually buys you anything. Bring the one thing. We settle it. No notes, no follow-up — you get the answer and get back to work.
Best for: one unresolved decision on a trip you’ve mostly figured out.
The Full
$150 · 60 minutes + a written page + two weeks of email
The whole trip, an hour. We work the route end to end: where to slow down, where to keep moving, what each place is in the season you’re going. Afterward you get a written page — the routing and the reading points from the call, so none of it evaporates when we hang up. And for two weeks my inbox stays open for the questions that only surface once you start booking.
Best for: a trip you’re building from the region up.
How it works
1. Choose your session and pay — Mini or Full, through the buttons below.
2. Pick your time. You’ll get a link to grab one of a handful of slots each week; the Google Meet details land in your calendar. A few short questions come with it, so I arrive already knowing your trip.
3. We talk. For the Full, your written page follows within a few days, and my inbox is open for two weeks.
Five sessions open each week. When they’re gone, they’re gone until the next.
Questions
How do we meet? Google Meet. The link arrives with your booking confirmation and opens in your browser — no download needed.
What should I have ready? Your dates and the region you’re considering — the booking questions cover the rest. Come with the trip in whatever shape it’s in; half-formed is fine.
Can I reschedule? Yes — freely, up to 24 hours before your session, using the link in your confirmation.
What about refunds? Sessions are non-refundable, but with 24 hours’ notice you can reschedule to any open slot. If something comes up closer than that, reach out and I’ll do what I can.
Full or Mini? If you can name the single thing you’re stuck on, take the Mini. If you’re building the trip from scratch, take the Full.
How is this different from a Trip Reading? The Reading is written for you and delivered as a document. The consultation is a live conversation — you do the planning, I help you read the place.
